Rules of Demarcation
The following jobs are designed to keep peace among team members, by means of outlining what each job title is responsible for and what others are not to do within the team. This will keep people from "stepping on each other’s toes" or causing hurt feelings.
Some of the details may seem stiff, especially considering that this is a voluntary team, but from past experience we have learned that without these descriptions personal problems seem to keep popping up and turbulence within the team would cause problems between members.
When this team of researchers was put together, it was decided that problems will not be allowed to arise without a quick response. It was decided that this is voluntary and no one should deal with personal problems between members to go on and make this a very poor investment of your time. We want our team members to enjoy this team and have fun as well as assist in finding good results.
So here are our final conclusions to the jobs and what each person’s job entails. These will be enforced.
Founders / Executive Board – Paul Benstine
There are no other members who will have this title.
i. The founder’s job is to over-see any and all functions and jobs of the team.
ii. The founder is the only member that is allowed to get involved with any job title without question or penalty.
iii. The founder runs all aspects of the team and assist in assigning job positions.
iv. The founder will also assist in assigning penalties for breakage of rules.
v. If there are any disagreements among the team members, the founder and the board will be the ones expected to "settle the problem".
vi. When it comes to Rules, The founder is not held to the boundaries of written rules.
vii. His responsibilities are to assist in the mediation and execution of what penalties caused by breaks in rules or trouble within the team. The founder agrees that no one person should ever have the sole power to throw people out or press any judgments.

the fact that the case manager is the only one allowed to contact the
clients.
iv. If any team member gives any research to the case researcher, the
case researcher is expected to verify the information to be true and
the member that gave the information to the case researcher gets

iii. The techs job is to start recording equipment (computers) and name needed files. If there is any problem with equipment in the field during an investigation, they are to do whatever they can as fast as possible to fix the issue if fixable.
This position requires a lot of attention to detail, everyone is to stay out of their way / or assist if asked by these techs. Due to stress they have on an investigation, I demand they are shown respect....no insults will be tolerated.

ix. Investigators-in-training are not allowed to aid case managers, case researchers, or any special "job" until they request and get accepted as a Team Investigator.
"Public/Personnel Representative" (P.R. Officer) – Margaret Bickford
The PR'S position is one of the positions that are mostly behind the scene and yet are extremely important.
i. The PR is responsible for answering all emails and sending them to the personnel that need to get them, such as case manager, case researcher, founder, etc...
ii. The PR is also responsible for identifying people requesting to join "Paranormal Extreme." And coordinate their entrance to the team.
iii. The PR will make sure all documentation (if any) are signed by persons wishing to join as well as stay in contact with the new person and help them get used to our forum and procedures of operation.
Candidates
Basically a Candidate has no team "rights", they are new people that are not "members" nor do they have any true title. They may or may not be invited to an investigation. Their invite to any investigation depends on the boards choices and also depend on but not limited to:
i. How many post does he/she have during this period of time.
ii. How active they have been.
iii. Is he / she easy to work with.
Remember all candidates ARE competing against each other for who gets assigned to investigations, "NO SPECIAL FAVORS FOR FRIENDS, FAMILY, WORKMATES, ETC." After all, there are times and investigations that we need to limit the number of team members who may attend due to the size of the site of the investigation.
Candidates are not a "team member" until their whole probation period has been ended by the executive board. The candidate answers to ALL TEAM MEMBERS until they are made an investigator-in-training. They do have the right to ask for help from an executive if they feel that they are being harassed or have a problem.
I hope you can understand even though we are voluntary, if we try to run without rules or a chain of command we will be doomed to failure before the ball starts to roll. With these rules, there should be no reason for anyone upsetting anyone else by stepping on toes or crossing into another person’s duties.
If anyone causes trouble by purposely doing someone else's job (upstaging) their fellow team member, penalties up to and including removal from the team may be issued by the executive board.
If you are interested in helping another in their field, or if they ask for help, simply get the boards’ permission.
We intend to keep this as much fun and as informative as possible and to do that we need to keep a strong structure. With a good firm foundation, the rest will fall in order and we can all sit back and enjoy the rest.....
________________________________________
Rules of Fair Play
As a member of "Paranormal Extreme." we all have rules of Fair Play. Basically, we demand politeness on and off the forum. No insults allowed on the forum about a fellow team member! Ever!
THIS WILL RESULT IN AN EXECUTIVE DECISION AGAINST THE OFFENDING MEMBER OF AND INCLUDING UP TO REMOVAL FROM THE TEAM!!
i. No rumor spreading on fellow team members! Or of a fellow paranormal team. If you know of a team member that is starting problems or will cause problems because of actions he/she is doing, and have proof, please tell one of the board members and let them know of your proof.
THIS WILL RESULT IN AN EXECUTIVE DECISION AGAINST THE OFFENDING MEMBER OF AND INCLUDING UP TO REMOVAL FROM THE TEAM!!
ii. Any personal problems with a fellow team member should be brought to a team leader ASAP.
iii. No Drinking, Drugs or any other illegal activity is allowed during any team functions. The result of this will result in disciplinary action.
*note*- beer or alcohol may be acceptable during team picnics and some social gatherings. This will be at the executive board members discretion.
iv. Basically, we are all adults, let’s act like such.
v. If an accusation is made about you, you have the right to request to confront your accuser (with the executive board and team leader present). This meeting will be arranged by the executive board, if the accuser fails to appear without a reasonable excuse, they will be held as being a trouble maker (starting rumors and not willing to back up their accusations). These people may be placed in disciplinary action.
vi. Trying to upstage people on the team to get positions by making them look inadequate is frowned upon. We believe that making each other look like we are the best, and making each other know we can trust and be trusted only allows us to be at ease and enjoy our time. After all we are all volunteers we are not paid for this.
vii. Insubordination shall not be tolerated, penalties will occur. We have made an Executive Board so that if you have any form of problem with anyone up to the founder can be addressed, we are not a dictatorship, you always can ask for help solving any problems, with anyone on the team. If you need assistance solving personal problems you may contact your leader and request an audience with the executive board or if you are not comfortable with that, you may directly contact the board members yourself.

These do not make all previous rules nul and void! They are extensions to most, and yes rewrites to some.
Paranormal Extreme
Standard Operating Procedure and Membership Requirements
Effective July 28, 2009
Paranormal Extreme is a Non-Profit Investigation team. Our Investigators are an extremely active and tight-knit group of passionate researchers seeking paranormal understanding, with an obsession for the truth.
PX operates an Investigation Division, an Auxiliary Division, a Technical Services Division, a New Concepts/Experimental Division, a Forum, hopes to publish a monthly newsletter.
As a member of PX, you will be entitled to many benefits as well as a chance to experience and investigate paranormal phenomena first hand.
Every event or investigation has limits on how many people can attend. The attendance list is not determined by seniority; it is based solely on evidence review and participation. Members are required to be active and participate in evidence review, forum entries, investigations, show appearances, productions and events.
PX has adopted activity minimums for each membership level. You must meet established participation benchmarks or you may be denied from attending investigations and events, and you may also be reassigned to our Auxiliary Division. Members that fail to meet these minimum requirements will be moved to lower positions and/or released from service. Continuous participation is required to maintain your membership status at all levels.
The following are Paranormal Extreme’s governing policy for operations within the group and will be adhered to at all times. No Exceptions!
ALL MEMBERS
Note: You should only consider membership if you have the time available, have a passion for the paranormal field, and have read and fully understand this publication.
Applicants interested in becoming Investigators with FPR PX must:
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Complete a probationary period.
• Complete all required training and participation guidelines.
• Must be free of addictions to illegal substances as dictated by Federal Law.
• No prior or current SERIOUS felony convictions or charges.
• Persons that have demonstrated to have, and act upon, deep emotional or personal problems will be released from the group without recourse.
• Personal issues between individuals will be worked out privately between members. Leadership shall be informed of any issues out of the control of the individual. By no means shall arguments, public displays, or personal issues be acted upon in a public forum which includes chat rooms, investigations, radio, message boards, shows, meetings, trainings, or forums, etc. It is your responsibility as a member of PX to notify your immediate supervisor, Team Manager, or the Group Director when you have any issue or problem that you cannot resolve on your own. Notifying management of issues, problems, or concerns is YOUR responsibility. It will never get fixed if you do not tell us it is broken. Communication is the key to a smooth running operation. Please take every opportunity to communicate with your leaders and co-members to ensure a smooth operation at all times.
• Persons must possess the aptitude to understand our protocols, the use of our equipment, and our basic paranormal investigative methodology.

• Must have a stable high speed internet connection.
• Must have reliable and available transportation.
• Must wear required uniform when necessary.
• Must maintain all membership participation requirements.
CANDIDATE
New members will be nominated, and begin as a “Candidate.” The Candidate designation indicates that PX has not yet committed to the applicant and that he/she is applying and seeking membership. Actual membership is contingent upon the Candidate meeting all membership requirements and participation benchmarks. Candidates can remain in this position until they are either accepted or rejected by PX Senior Staff. During the probationary period, the Candidate must attain 15 posts a week with a minimum of 60 posts on evidence review a month (for no less than 60 days), and attend All the monthly mandatory meetings. Candidates may transition to Investigator – in- training once Paul finds you have completed your candidate period and have given an additional onetime non-refundable commitment fee of $50.00. The fees cover the costs for Background Check, training and/or any official PX expenses
INVESTIGATOR IN TRAINING
Once you have completed all training requirements, the Candidate probationary period, your background check, and your application has been accepted; your inclusion on the team will then be decided. The vote will be held by the current active Senior Staff of Paranormal Extreme. Once membership is granted, you will be given the designation of “Investigator in Training.” In this designation you will continue to train with PX until it is determined that you are ready to participate in, and conduct, site investigations with an assembled team.
Investigators in Training are required to attain 7 posts calendar week, and attend the all monthly mandatory meetings. Investigators in Training should be reading and learning as much as possible about the paranormal field. They should also make every effort to attend all functions, trainings and meetings. You should also view and reply to as many videos, photographic images, and audio files as possible from our list of current and past investigations. PX Management will keep track of your progress. (The more you view evidence and post replies on the Forum, the more likely it will be for you to become an Investigator).
Investigators /and/ Investigators in Training are required to pay $10.00 in membership dues each month. Candidate is responsible for the fees for their Uniform shirt and hat embroidery.
Note: After you have completed the "Investigator in Training" program, you may apply to Paul Benstine, to serve in the Investigation Division.
AUXILIARY
Members who decide, or are assigned by Paul Benstine to serve in the Auxiliary Division are required to attain 5posts per calendar week. Auxiliary members must not miss more than two (2) consecutive meetings. Auxiliary members who do not make the minimum requirements will be released from service.
Auxiliary members are members of PX; however, they are not Investigators. Auxiliary members will assist in many different areas and will not be given the opportunity to investigate. Auxiliary members may appear on shows, attend events, provide support functions, and take part in many research projects and classes as openings allow.
Auxiliary members are not required to take on research specialties or extra job duties, but are encouraged to help with them. When an investigation or event is announced, Investigators will be assigned and then any positions or slots left open may be filled by Auxiliary Members (in a non-investigation position only).
Auxiliary Members are required to pay $10.00 in membership dues each month. Auxiliary members may transition to Investigator by requesting from Paul Benstine to go to investigator status, making the minimum 5 posts of this classification as well as the additional 7 post requirements of an investigator role equaling 12 posts per week for no less than 60 consecutive days (no exceptions to this rule).
INVESTIGATOR
basically, you must earn the right to be called an Investigator.
Investigators are the backbone of the group, are held to the highest standards, and must maintain a consistent level of participation.
Investigators get first choice on everything, including all investigations, events, and functions.
Investigators have a vote in group affairs and new or current membership changes.
Investigators are required to take on at least one Research Specialty.
All Investigators must attend at all monthly meetings. Investigators must attain 7 posts per calendar week / a minimum of 7 posts on evidence review a week and attend all the monthly mandatory meetings. If you fall behind, you will be given 30 consecutive days to catch up all posts and will not be allowed to go to any investigation until you have gone one month of posting without falling behind in posts. If you do not catch up within one month, penalties may, and probably will occur as per these rules.
Investigators are required to pay $10.00 in membership dues each month.
Call in Failure / No Show Failures
1- If a meeting, function, or any other mandatory function is called, you must attend unless you have a valid excuse. Such as doctors, hospitalization, accidents, family emergency’s etc. Of which your are expected to call 24 hours prior to the said function and let us know you will not attend. If you fail to call until during or after the function you will be given a blemish on your team record and be denied part in the next investigation, if you have 2 blemishes you will be removed to auxiliary level. 3 blemishes you are removed from the team.
Candidates with any blemishes are immediately removed from the team.
2- If you volunteer to a function such as a investigation, or team function and say you will be there, and do not show and do not call ahead of time you will receive a blemish mark to you permanent record of the team and be denied part in the next investigation. If you have 2 blemishes you will be removed to auxiliary level. 3 blemishes you are removed from the team.
Candidates with any blemishes are immediately removed from the team.
3- Once removed from the team, you will not, at any point of time be allowed to return to the team! You will have the right to appeal a blemish and explain your side, and if your reasons seem fair to Paul, the blemish may be removed as well as any other further disciplinary actions that would normally follow due to that blemish. If Paul does not feel you excuse is fair enough, it will stand and any action that is scheduled to happen by these rules will stand as well.
I am not unfair, nor is this team. Everyone has personal lives outside of this team. We only require fairness as well as professional behavior as you would give your job. Yes this is not a job and it is voluntary work, but asking for polite warning is not in our minds too much to ask.
FAILURE TO MEET MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Candidates: -If the minimum requirements are not met, from this point on there will be no warnings, hints, or anything like that. YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THIS TEAM!
Investigators in training: -If the minimum requirements are not met, from this point on there will be no warnings, hints, or anything like that. You will be returned to Candidate level,
Investigators: - If the minimum requirements are not met, from this point on there will be no warnings, hints, or anything like that. You will be removed from your position and put onto the Auxiliary position.
Auxiliary: - If the minimum requirements are not met, from this point on there will be no warnings, hints, or anything like that. YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THIS TEAM!
THERE WILL BE NO FORGIVENESS FROM THIS POINT ON, IF YOU DO NOT MAKE YOUR MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, YOU WILL RECEIVE THE PUNISHMENTS. –NO IF ANDS OR BUTTS.
ACTIVITY POST (POINTS) SYSTEM
1 post= Evidence review of video file (of 15 minutes in length) with a detailed post on the Forum. You can add 1 post point for each additional 15 minutes in length. For example: a 30 minute video = 2 posts.
1 post= Evidence review of audio file (of 15 minutes in length) with a detailed post on the Forum. You can add 1 post point for each additional 15 minutes in length. For example: a 30 minute audio = 2 posts.
1 post = Evidence review of 10 pictures of evidence with a detailed post on the forum
Posts may be granted on research on history of cases posted on the forum, depending on how much work was done to find the history and how much detail is put into the forum.
EXECUTIVE BOARD
As Of Now The Executive Board has been officially dissolved. The control, operations, rules and judgments etc. are completely at the control of the founder. As of now, if there are any team or personal problems that can’t be solved by talking the problems out between the original parties, they are to take the problems to the founder and the founder only. He shall then personally get involved and solve the issue at his discretion.
Most of our original rules still exist unless these rules null them out or have rewritten the old ones.
Insubordination
Our team has rules about insubordination; these rules also carry over to any team we work with. If we work with another team, the other team leaders have the same authorities as our team leaders. If you ignore them it is insubordination! If you harass their members, insult their team members, are rude to their team members, it is insubordination to our team leaders due to this embarrassing each and every member of this team. Even after we warned you not to do this type of behavior, I have heard this has happened way too often within my crew being insubordinate to their management or rude, to other teams and leaders. If I hear of it again, those team members within my team will receive serious disciplinary action or removal, this is your only warning!
*These policies are subject to change*

As brought to my attention through our Communications / P.R. person "Margaret Bickford", we had a position that was never thought up that should be considered.
This position is one that I have agreed to "give a trial run to". It will be called a "CYBER INVESTIGATOR".
Definition of a Cyber Investigator:
A person that is not a full team member, but is a "extension of Paranormal Extreme". In the briefest way of expression, they are part of Paranormal Extreme, but have no voting rights, they are not allowed to go to any investigations (not even as extra hands). They are allowed to view all evidence a team member does as well as do research on cases (background histories, news, etc.). In return they must sign a contract that they will not release any information to anyone outside the team unless they have been given permission in writing from Paul Benstine. This contract must by filled out emailed, and physically mailed back to the team (Paul Benstine) before they are granted this position. They can only receive this position if they are related and referenced by an existing team investigator.
The cyber Investigator is requested to have a computer with a web cam and Oovoo installed (Oovoo is a free download). This way they can attend team meetings through the internet and participate. The Cyber Investigator is Highly requested to attend all meetings through this internet conference program or in person.
If the Cyber Investigator stops participating on the forum without the team knowing as to why, they will be placed back to public access, and still held liable for any breach of the contract if they give out any private information on any cases, this is to insure our clients privacy.
If a Cyber Investigator is removed from the team due to inappropriate behavior. The Team Investigator that gave them a reference will also be held accountable for their behavior and given punishment for their actions as well. This is to make sure that the Investigator that references you doesn't just reference just "anybody", their team position is at stake as well.
